Complete surveillance and video-entry coverage was retrofitted into the finished residence while preserving its architectural appearance.

Comprehensive coverage for an existing home

UpLync Networks designed and installed a complete IC Realtime surveillance system throughout an existing rural residence with no previous camera cabling or usable low-voltage pathways.

Six hardwired exterior cameras were positioned to monitor the driveway, entrances, garage, side yards, backyard, and surrounding property. Every camera received a new concealed Cat6 connection routed to a centralized network video recorder for continuous local recording and secure remote access.

Custom-finished for the residence

The cameras were disassembled, prepared, and painted to coordinate with the home’s green exterior and trim. This allowed the equipment to remain visible enough to provide security while avoiding the stark appearance of standard white camera housings against the finished architecture.

Mounting locations were selected to provide useful viewing angles while keeping wiring, connectors, and exterior penetrations concealed.

A demanding retrofit

Because the home was already finished, the installation required extensive attic access and careful routing through concealed spaces. Each cable pathway had to be planned around the existing rooflines, soffits, framing, and finished interior without relying on exposed exterior cabling.

The result is a professionally wired surveillance system that appears intentional rather than added as an afterthought.

Video entry and local recording

A video doorbell was added at the primary entrance to provide visitor notifications, two-way communication, and convenient front-door visibility. The exterior cameras record continuously to a dedicated on-site recorder, allowing the homeowner to review live and recorded footage without relying exclusively on cloud storage.

While completing the project, UpLync also improved an existing entertainment-center network connection by replacing Ethernet cables routed through partially open doors with concealed cabling and a properly finished wall jack.

The completed system provides broad property awareness, dependable local recording, and convenient remote access while preserving the appearance of the residence. From the custom-painted camera housings to the concealed retrofit cabling, the installation was designed to look like part of the home rather than equipment attached afterward.
