Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I know which service I need?
If you already know what you want (ex: “I need wiring for a new build” or “I want in-ceiling speakers”), start with a free quote.
If you’re still figuring things out, book a consultation — we’ll walk you through options, ballpark pricing, and next steps so you’re not guessing.

    Do you charge for quotes?
No. Quotes are free — we only charge for onsite consultations or design work if a project requires detailed planning before install.

Can you still help if I’m early in planning or just gathering numbers?
Absolutely. Many customers come to us before they even finalize construction plans or decide what rooms need tech. Earlier = cleaner wiring and fewer change orders later.

  • Can you work with my builder, electrician, or GC?
Yes. We coordinate directly with your team so low-voltage isn’t an afterthought. That means correct conduit, proper wire routing, and systems designed for long-term use — not last-minute patchwork.

When is the best time to involve you in a new build?
Before framing is complete. Once the walls close, wiring becomes more expensive and limited. Early involvement = lower cost and more flexibility.

Do you replace “prewire packages” builders offer?
Yes — in most cases we provide more capability for the same or lower cost because we focus on structured wiring, not generic “speaker + TV” bundles.

  • Do I really need wiring if everything is wireless now?
Wi-Fi is great — but it’s only as strong as the wiring behind it. Hardwired connections make internet faster, more stable, and more secure. Wireless is a convenience layer, not the backbone.

What makes you different from an ISP or “free router” install?
Your ISP gives you the internet connection — we design the network inside the home so it works everywhere, even when multiple TVs, cameras, and devices are running at once.

What makes you different from other AV installers?
We design around reliability first — not gadget trends. That means labeled wiring, clean racks, serviceability, and future-proofing so the system still works 10+ years from now.

Will my system still work if the internet goes down?
Yes. We design networks, surveillance, and security systems to run locally — so your house keeps working when cloud-based systems stop.

  • How much do projects usually cost?
There’s no one price because every project is customized — but most residential installations fall into predictable ranges once we understand room count, wiring needs, audio zones, and security needs. We can provide ballpark ranges before formal quotes.

Can I phase a project over time?
Yes. Many clients start with wiring during construction, then add TVs, speakers, cameras, etc. in stages. We design the system so nothing has to be ripped out later.

    Do you offer financing?
Yes — through Synchrony Bank. Many customers use financing during remodels or new builds so tech isn’t sacrificed for budget timing.

  • Do you provide support after installation?
Yes. We offer remote support, optional service plans, and onsite help when needed. Many systems also include manufacturer warranties and extended coverage options.

What happens if something stops working?
Most issues can be handled remotely, and we build systems that are easy to diagnose and repair. If something needs to be replaced, we work directly with vendors so you're not stuck navigating tech support.

Do you take over or fix existing systems installed by someone else?
In most cases, yes — as long as the wiring can support what you want. We can also rebuild or clean up “Frankenstein” systems if they were pieced together over time.
