Network Audit & Stabilization – 10,000 Sq. Ft. Home
Overview
This 10,000 sq. ft. estate was brought to life by DreamScapes AV of Syracuse — an incredible full-home automation project. UpLync Networks was invited to help with some networking issues, ensuring that the scale of the automation system was matched with a properly managed, reliable network foundation.
When Spectrum attempted to service the property, two separate ISP connections (residential and business) were accidentally bridged, creating instability and performance issues.
This project highlights the difference between an ISP’s focus on bringing internet to the home versus the expertise required to deliver it through the home.
Scope of Work
Comprehensive Cable Audit — Traced and identified all network cabling runs across both systems.
Verification & Testing — Confirmed integrity of each connection and identified improper bridges between networks.
Correction of Loops — Ensured clean separation of residential and commercial networks to prevent performance conflicts.
Labeling & Documentation — Clearly labeled each run for easier service and management moving forward.
Result
Both networks are now fully independent, stable, and performing as designed.
No more accidental bridging or feedback loops that degrade performance.
The homeowner has a clear understanding of the network layout with labeled cabling for future service.
Takeaway
ISPs are focused on getting internet into the home — but what happens inside the home requires a different level of care. This project demonstrates how professional auditing and proper documentation can restore order and reliability to even the most complex residential networks.
A Network Reimagined – 8,800 Sq. Ft. Estate
Overview
This 8,800 sq. ft. home was struggling with an outdated network that left large areas — including the basement and outdoor living spaces — without reliable Wi-Fi. Several TVs and smart devices had never successfully connected since being installed. By rebuilding the network step by step, we transformed unreliable coverage into a seamless, whole-home system that reaches well beyond the pool and driveway.
