Rebuilding a failed entrance system
The property’s original telephone-based gate station had been out of service for an extended period, leaving visitors without a reliable way to contact the homeowner or request entry. The existing long-distance copper cabling and underground pathway were no longer dependable, so replacing only the entrance station would not have addressed the underlying problem.
UpLync Networks designed a modern gate-access system around a new fiber-optic connection extending from the residence to the property entrance.
A dependable connection across the property
Because the gate is located hundreds of feet from the home, the new infrastructure was designed for long-distance reliability and future serviceability. Fiber was routed through a new communications pathway and terminated inside a weather-resistant field enclosure mounted near the gate.
The enclosure houses the fiber termination, network conversion, power equipment, and service loops needed to support the entrance system while protecting the components from outdoor conditions.

A foundation for future access-control or surveillance expansion
The completed design replaces obsolete telephone-based communication with a network-connected system that can be monitored and operated whether the homeowner is inside the residence or away from the property.
Built for reliability, not just appearance
The most important part of this project is largely unseen. Rather than relying on wireless bridging or attempting to reuse compromised copper cabling, the new fiber backbone creates a durable connection between the home network and the remote entrance.
The result is a gate system that looks appropriate for the property while being easier to manage, troubleshoot, and expand over time.
