Technology planned as part of the home

The Varnsen is a 3,640-square-foot built-to-spec residence designed and constructed by Crafted Concepts. UpLync Networks coordinated the home’s security, surveillance, video entry, controlled lighting, networking, and centralized automation during construction.

Planning the systems before completion allowed devices, cabling, controls, and exterior camera locations to be incorporated cleanly into the architecture rather than introduced afterward.

Security throughout the residence

A professionally installed security system provides straightforward control from a centrally located touchscreen interface, along with remote status awareness and notifications.

Protection was planned around the home’s primary entrances, living areas, garage, and walkout lower level, giving the homeowners one consistent system for everyday use.

Lighting built around routines

Controlled lighting keypads simplify recurring activities rather than requiring the homeowners to adjust each fixture individually.

Custom commands can coordinate multiple lights for routines such as arriving home, entertaining, winding down for the evening, leaving the property, or turning the home off at night. Familiar individual controls remain available alongside the broader automated scenes.

Discreet exterior surveillance

Hardwired exterior cameras provide visibility across the home’s approaches, rear exterior, and walkout areas. Dark camera finishes were selected to blend with the soffits and exterior materials while retaining useful coverage of the property.

Continuous local recording keeps footage available at the residence, with convenient remote access for live viewing and review.

Video entry at the front door

A network-connected video doorbell provides visitor alerts, live viewing, and two-way communication from inside or away from the home.

Its placement alongside the dark front entrance allows the device to remain accessible without distracting from the architectural design.

Designed for everyday use

Security, surveillance, lighting, networking, and entry communication operate as coordinated parts of the residence rather than isolated systems.

The result is a home that provides greater awareness and control without adding unnecessary complexity to daily routines.
